Eid al Fitr the festival of the breaking or ending of the fast has been delared for Tuesday 30th August

The Eid lasts for 3 days, may they be ones  of joy and goodwill for all

August 6th Hiroshima day

[ August 6, 2011; 11:30 am to 12:00 pm. ] Norfolk Quakers invite everyone to join an open air Quaker Meeting, at the Feet of Sir Thomas Browne (Hay Hill next to Peter Mancroft) 11.30 till noon. This is a reflective event, starting with silence, where anyone who feels moved to is welcome to speak.

August 6th, Hiroshima Anniversary

[ August 6, 2011; 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm. ] CND invites us all to gather at the Peace Pillar in Chapelfield Gardens near bandstand at 3pm to lay some flowers and to remember in silence. People are also welcome to bring readings

Badger petition

Many people have signed the League Against Cruel Sports’ petition against the badger cull.
It is vital that they reach 100,000 signatures to ensure the subject is debated in parliament but to show the government just how opposed the public is to the cull, their target is ONE MILLION SIGNATURES.
